MCC

We play about 6 - 10 fixtures a year, normally 20 to 40 over matches, all friendly so long as we win.

2009 was a short season, featuring three wins & two losses, with The Flying Pig inflicting their first defeat on us, aided by a Red Arrows fly-past, and Holberton thrashed us by 140 runs or so ( the Chairman was scoring and had retired in disgust).

We play at any cricket ground we can find available, mainly Stoke Gabriel (our 'home' ground as we played our first fixtures there vs The Painsford Queens) or Dartington/Totnes.

Planned fixtures for 2010 include The Flying Pig CC , Royal Castle/Seven Stars CC, Holberton, Slapton, The Battersea Bohemians (July13th), & Cavendish Cavaliers

New players are very welcome, must be drinkers here, all standards accepted, plenty of our 'squad' have only ever played for the MCC ! pleae contact us if you are interested. We do occasional nets, even in Winter, have access to a bowling machine, and have a couple of serious cricketers who help us weaker players out ! We are the only team in the country to have our very own Box Lady, Ruth, who looks after our balls with great diligence. We are most touched by her attention. We are also proud to have Hannah Osborne as our Tea Lady (she is the best there is), especially as she has actually done us a few teas now.
